Guys...the original "kit" part for Honda CR750 block off was... rubber. Get off the Ti stuff and make it light and simple. Rubber! Put the Ti where it counts, on retainers for valves, not the valves as they don"t like to get hit that much! Axels, steering stems, larger bolts such as swingarm pivot end the 8-12mm OD mounting bolts for engine.

Next subject..."where to use the magnesium"

So, the starter motor block off was just a rubber bung. Perchance you have a picture of one?

Cheers

Fear not, I did believe you Mark, it's just that I'm curious to see an original or any other original CR750 bits come to that. I bet the price has risen slightly over the years! There's an alloy version in an old (1974ish) Yoshimura catalog of mine priced at $3.26. RC did one as well, but there is no price in the catalog. A further perusal of the Yoshimura catalog reveals a 5-speed close ratio gearbox for $347.12, connecting rods at $49.95 each and a tacho (4-12000rpm), a picture of which has graced these pages before at $67.14. Anybody out there got a time machine?

Thanks
Eric

We probably had to work just as many days to buy a gearbox then, as we do now... :(

Hey Frank, remember the discussion we had about the cast-able urethane, and how I said it could be used to make all sorts of parts??? This could be a time machine!!! ;)
