Hi gang.Anyone catch the first of the two part bio on Grapes tonight on da guvment tv?Assuming he is the stand up guy that is his public personna,and his son being on the production team,I'm tinking there isn't much Hollywoodizing of the script.Wow,quite the story so far and must see viewing for any fan of the game,eapecially if you are familiar with the era.     Rock On

Yes.Cherry played many years in various minor leagues,one game for the Bruins against the Canadiens,later coached the Bruins and Rockies,now is a revered or loathed icon here in the Great White North!   Rock On

Loved him as a coach, but since he's a commentator - loathe him. I know its all shock value, but the guy can crawl under my skin just looking at him now. Makes Ann Coulter look like a sane, timid Mary Poppins.

I love Grapes!  I used to watch his "Rock em Sock em" videos back in college.  What a hoot!
