I never seen one blowed up this good.

$600 might have been an ok price before the case was destroyed. Wonder what caused it?

Not mine, but I would take parts if it was a $50 bike. Someone could have got hurt it looks like.

It must have been making  some noise for a period of time before the big bang.

My guess is incorrectly torqued rod bolts
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

titled frame and extras - assuming the engine is toast?  Maybe 250.  You could probably sell the rest of the parts and make back the cost of the bike and swap a 400 in there for some real fun.
