Identify this seat please!
« on: April 07, 2010, 01:12:53 PM »
I found this seat among some things that I am helping a friend sell and I have had no luck finding what bike it is for. Everything looks completely stock and unchanged. What has been the biggest problem is that there is a break in the chrome strip by the buckle. I haven't been able to find any Honda seats that have that break, much less match the other characteristics of the seat. As you can see, it hinges from the back and not the side. I've checked it against pictures of all the late 70's/early 80's hondas I can think of and none match. Any ideas!?!?

Kinda looks similar to seat I have lurking in the shed at the bottom of the garden that came off a CB750 K7 custom model. Its dark right now, but I'll check tomorrow and let you know.

It's a good size seat so I would think it came off a larger bike

That's what I thought when I saw the gold lettering on the back, but I'm sure it's not. (I have two).

Nope, fairly close though, but it seems the mystery has been solved anyway.
