Found some nice info online by I think Micky Lauria of Inglese..
Stuff like if you got to go bigger than this to clear up the *** jet needs bigger.

I've got an article I ripped out of a magazine years ago by Mickey, titled "Weber Music". ;D

Thanks for posting the article Scotty, good read.  I've been looking for a copy of the book you pictured Bill for a while, you right it does offer some insights.  I'll see what I can do re scanning the Passini book tuning section.  There were originally 2 books - Weber Carburetors 1: Theory (published 1968), & Weber Carburetors 2: Tuning & Maintenance (1972).  They were combined and reprinted in the version I have.

Hi Captain Webber,
I've decided officially to run the 40 dcoe webbers on my 760 cc on the salt,  I posted the jetting to suit the 32mm chokes for you on another thread but I can get some 33 mm and 34mm chokes as part of the tuning, what jetting numbers have you come across for the 33 & 34 chokes ?????

Cheers Johno  :)

A mate up here in Darwin has preparded a CD175 for the LSR and he was saying the other day that the lake is still too wet to give it a crack.

They did the big trip there a couple of years ago and ended up drinking big mobs of the amber fluid instead of turning wheels because of the rain.
I told him that the beer guts and the rain is gonna bugga up his ambitions.  ;D

Here's wishin'  it will all come together for him.
Neil Bromley - A bloody hell of a good bloke.  8)
Hope that you can meet up with him one day Johno.

Hi Mick,
Good to hear from you, I worry about those gone troppo stories and you being in Darwin ;)

Funny you should mention the rainout last month I am in Victor Harbor this weekend and bumped into this bloke who is organising the annual National Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club rally being held in VH next March 15 to 17th.  I'm all excited about taking a few toys along but am sweating on the date clashing with the salt lake racing, they normally race late march but they are talking about bringing it forward to a hotter time in jan / Feb. :-[

Hey I seen this guys VJMC club Key ring , its a white background with Jap sun in middle , looked great I will check out their web site , wouldnt mind getting a couple. The key ring tag would match sam the mans white leathers. Be a good present to send to him for his work on the forum , it would look perfect on his leathers zip.   Old blokes need a big tag on their zips so they can find the ends. ;D ;) ;D

Mick hows your bike project (s) going , I dead set love that silver colour cant wait to see a couple of pics with you parked out the front of the local watering hole.
Cheers Johno

 Hi Johnno

The Honda projects are on the back burner at the momemt mate.
And I'm spewin' about that.

I'm still winding up my business after 26 years and it's relative to a second divorce.  8)  ;D  8)  ;D

The 836 nasty is almost together and it should've been firin' flames by now.
I've bolted one of Mike R stage 4 heads onto it with a bank of 34mm Mikunis and a 125/75 Megacycle cam, so I'd expect it to out run a police car if the need arised.  ;D

The Billet Block Engine is next inline and I reckon that with a set of 72mm MTC slugs, and some good advice from the gents here on the board, it should make the neighbors dog stay right away from the fence line.  ;D

Be good to catch up one day mate.  8)

Thanks for posting that Johno.  I'm starting to think I may be a bit large on the mains @ 140, although the 185 airs would seem to be in the ball park.

Perhaps you missed this post, Lucky, but I can't imagine how, since it was only 2 posts before the one you quoted. :o

Hi, Frank. It was actually our "diet" conversation that lead to this topic: while going through my notes on how much weight I had added with the Kawi front end, I found my original notes on setting up the Webs in '79. I got the bike with a total hodge-podge of carb parts installed; different size venturis, drilled jets, you name it. My room-mate at the time was very familiar with these carbs, and lent me a book from BAP/GEON, that I used to estimate what I needed. It worked pretty well; sure wish I had made a copy of that book....

Venturi  30 mm
Aux Venturi 3.5
Main jet   125
Air correction 185
Emulsion tube F11
Idle 45F9 (switched to 40F8 in '97 due to move to 4500' elevation)
Accel jet  .35
Accel discharge .55

Hi Frank, its like the one in the RC catalog, straight not curved and with the blocks on the ends of the manifold for locating the throttle cables....

I have that setup with carbs, have not tried it, Fishead runs that one.
Will try to get pics of the 4 different ones I have, plus the Lynx makes at least 5 different ones...

754 do you (or anyone else reading this thread) want to sell one of your 750 Weber manifolds??  I'm going to use one of my 750 emgines in my Fiddeman P3 sidecar.  It will be running a 915 kit, and I want to use Webers.

I believe the MPD design may be better that the RC, due to the smooth transition from the 40mm throats to the much smaller spigots. I would like to see a good pic of both sides of the RC.
