Manifold is complete and the carbs are mounted! There is still a laundry list of items before the bike is ready to breathe through them but progress is being made. They are a tight fit to be sure, but will be one of the most distinctive parts of my project.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

+1 very nice work. 8) 8) 8)  Are the lever arms & links from Pierce??

Make sure you have a support for the carbs (from top usually on 750's).  Otherwise they will droop significantly on the rubber boots.

Tintop, the whole linkage kit is from Pierce. I used them based on your recommendation and they are stellar. Im replacing the shaft collars and rod ends with stainless units but the levers and all else are staying. I put the carbs super close together so they would like up better with the ports in the head. Im really hot on water-jetting all kinds of stuff right now, and will probably design a plate the hold the carbs from the top attaching to a lug welded into the backbone. The plate will also have a provision welded on that will serve as the mount point for the throttle cable adjustment screw/nut. My build with all the other water-jetted goodies is in the project forum.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Just read through your build thread, some very nice things going on. 8) 8)   Love those AP calipers.   I'm really into the water-jet thing as well.  Check out my 550 build, and vintage sidecar (links in my signature).   What CAD program are you using??

With your oil cooler your going to want to keep vibration away to prevent cracks, so you'll want to 'soft' mount it.

Im using Proge2009. Its a free version but my water-jet guy can convert to DXF and run whatever I need. I will definitely be doing some type of soft/rubber mount for the cooler.

OK looking for some suggestions from the Weber guru's.  I need to add some fuel at the top end because with the new head & cam the old jetting has leaned out quite a bit.  Don't want to add much, and idle is good.  Current jetting is as follows:
Mains - 135
Airs - 175
Tube -  F11
Pump - 135
Discharge - 50
Idles - F950

I have the following to work with: Airs from 175 to 190 / Mains from 135 to 145 / F9 & F16 tubes / 140 pump jet.

Figure the equivalent to what I currently have would be - 140 mains & 190 airs, so looking at 140's with 185 airs as a start.  Comments??

That's my feeling scottly.  Been going through my books but haven't found the part I'm looking for - tube comparison.  I know the F16 & F9 bracket the F11 eg. one is leaner on top & the other is richer.  I'm going to keep looking, but do you happen to know?  That would be my next change if the jet change gets me close.

I think the air has more effect solely at the high end than the emulsion tubes?

That's my feeling scottly.  Was checking through my notes, and I did try 185 / 140 / F11 before, but it was to rich, and was with a 50 pump jet (now a 35).  However, with the better flowing head, and cam might be the sweet spot now.

Did find the info I was looking for on the tubes.  I need to do some measuring, and check hole placement, but sounds like the F16 would be the one to fine tune top end fuel delivery.

I bought the weber/rc off the sales section and am running it on a stock CB750A..... They have a 32mm choke.  Is 32 way too big to start with?

My feeling is that 28mm chokes would be a better fit for a stock auto, but since you have the 32's you might as well give them a shot.  ;D You may have to go up on the main jet to compensate for the over sized chokes..

any idea what size engine your carbs came off?my bike is stock right now and running an ard that I got from you,2 pumps on throttle and kick until it tries to fire and another one then kick and it usually fires up ,have to warm up before good idle.my mains are 115 and my airs are 200,pumps 35,make sure that your pump jets are working as that is what you are using to prime the engine, having extra chokes on hand is not a bad idea as they can be changed in a minute.I might be wrong but I think of the chokes as changing the size of your carbs say from 32 to 28s etc.ie if your pumps are not working bike will be hard to start ask me how I know!bill

no idea what size bike.....I'm thinking I might go with 28s or 30s to work better with the low range needs of the matic
