Honda CB350F -- Exhaust Header Angle
« on: April 04, 2010, 06:17:30 PM »
Hi:

I've got two header sets for my 1972 C350F.  Each of these header sets seem to show that cylinder exhaust ports are slightly angled toward the center line of the bike.  In other words, ports 1 and 2 point slightly to the right (top view from sitting in rider's seat).  And ports 3 and 4 point slightly to the left.

Am I seeing things, or did Honda really "toe in" the outboard headers a bit?

Respect,  Don

Expert:

Thanks.

It really is remarkable how much thought honda gave these bikes 38 years ago.  And even more remarkable that they accurately executed these thoughts "in the metal".

Stunning, really.
