Out is richer, in  is leaner. the screws are on the engine side of the carbs, on the bottom.

Not to jack your thread, have a 78 750 also and I am way rich (luders 750 thread) I have my screws set at 1 1/2 turns out-should I try 1 turn and see if it leans her out, what does everyone Else have theres initially set at....Thanks luder

Luder, what filter are you running. Apparently the emgo and such filters are too restrictive. Also, a dirty pilot circuit is many times at fault. Have to pull the idle jets and clean them by hand. Also make sure that when at idle, there is a .008 gap between the accle pump rod and the actuator.

The answer is yes, the 1 1/2 turns is the average starting point. Sometimes you may need more or less. The key is a smooth idle.

Thanks guys-honda stock filter-I have the carbs off again and I will explain whats up in the project thread-this bikes driving me nuts
