You bet Don. :)))

About 45min from me.

http://www.willowbank-raceway.com.au/

Right beside that they have:

http://www.queenslandraceway.com.au/  (boring track).

About 2hrs s/west there is Morgan Park raceway and drag strip. About a hour north is Lakeside Complex. (both fabulous challenging tracks)

Not bragging or anything .... but we're really spoilt for choice.

If you don't want to go to the track then there are loads of snaky mountain roads at the back door.

Did the Aussi Historic Titles at Morgan last year and your right, its a great little track.
The roo's can be a pain in the ass though.
Looking forward to Philip Island this year. We'll be able to give our old girl her head.
The blokes running good 836cc motors where all over us like a rash at Morgan.

Cheers,
Brian

I loved racing at Willowbank, especially the night runs. Great place, great racers.

It was my favorite of the tracks we ran "Down Under" during the '95 season, when we won the Australian Nitro Funny Car Championship (edging Peter Russo by one round win). I was the diver/motorbuilder, aka 'Spannerman' (wrench twister) for Gary Densham, we had the NEC sponsorship at that time.

Yeah we ran better at Caulder Park, (where we set the F/C National ET Record), and the crowd size was HUGE, BUT the after race party at Willowbank was second to none.  ;D
Lots of XXXX piss beer (insert joke about not being able to spell 'beer'), and where else do you find Koalas hanging out in the trees in the pits?
Come to think of it, how many tracks anywhere HAVE trees in the pits???

I read a story about Densham, the first time Forces team went down under, force had all the sponsor money and parts. By the end of the season Densham had to loan them parts and show them how to tune it so they could finish the tour.
