Right you are! but, inches, centimeters... what's the diff? If it doesn't matter to NASA, why should I be concerned?  :o ;)

lol huge air difference there man.

I'd siggest looking at the holley or edelbrock carbs. Maybe a demon carb as well.

Stick one of those on each cylinder and now we got something.  ;)

I bet oil injection would be an easy mod on those carbs.

Whitewalls would just look gaudy, IMO. Jeeze, man... show some class!  :D ;D

dude, whitewalls give you more traction. and clubmans will give you at least 3, maybe 3-1/2 more hp which you're gonna need with that set-up.

also, how big's your nitrous bottle?

Saaweeet! Would work well with a 12x12 exhaust, too!

Well, since we're putting carburetors on this diesel engine  ::) we might as well go for that, too! But I wouldn't want to add too many more systems as it might become ungainly and difficult to ride...

Well, there is that to consider. Hmmmm.

It won't become ungainly until you add the propane, trust me.

Two other things to bear in mind:

1.) A popular mod is to paint the engine.  I would not do this, as it will mess with the air-cool properties of it.

2.) Going faster than 88mph while drafting a Delorean may cause one of you to travel forward in time.  Just sayin'.

A good point, and timely as I was playing with painting the engine fire engine red, but was concerned it might attract attention... I'd like to keep the bike a "sleeper" if I can...

Isn't that more properly "GPM" with one of these engines?

Which is unfortunate, really...despite attracting attention and overheating the engine, the color red adds a consistant 10mph.

Yes, Diesel 2-strokes are water cooled.  And they have injectors (which can weigh as much as a 350 twin engine), 2 to 4 exhaust valves, large blowers and NO oil injection.

Oh, and the oil sump holds about 200 gallons.

That's true! That's true! (gets excited) WoW! Red metallic powdercoat!

Of course, while it would look great on a show bike, I probably wouldn't want it on a daily driver, where I'd rather it just blended in with the rest of the traffic...

But it would look great, otherwise!

.

We decided to go with larger wheels with an extended fork and shorty shocks. Should do the trick.

I was given one of these engines back when I was building my race tractor.  I used a Cub Cadet 70 frame and put this baby in it.  I had to run a little higher air pressure in the front tires and a few cups of water in the back wheels to get the balance right, but boy do I get the looks from the chicks. That alone outweighs all of the extra work that I had to do.  As far as exhaust goes I did a 12 into 1 into 12 again just to kind of play around with my conduit bender.  And the carburetor is just a plain old 55 gallon drum with a garden hose as a jet.  I mounted the tank up high to get the right head pressure for my float, which is a basket ball, and for starting the beast, I have a black powder ram set-up (an idea that I got from my civil war re-enactment days).
"Sure, if you don't want that bike in your backyard, I guess I'll take it."  "I'll probably just scrap it......"

I decided to forgo the project when all of the frame modifications left no room for a cup holder. Too bad.

To all who participated in this little exercise, thank you for your wonderful senses of humor and your willingness to take a joke and run with it. Great bunch of guys.

And I hope you all had a wonderful 1st of April!

I was researching this swap when I noticed that the fuel consumption rating is in gallons per minute!  Your gonna need a bigger tank!
