are my fork seals in backwards pics

hey guys i think i ended up puting my fork seals in up side down. they started to pour fluid out so i have taken the forks back off waiting on new seals. i took some pics of the seal to see if you guys could tell me if they are in backwards. thanks ryan

definitely backwards
just keep in mind that not all fork seals have the same design .. if you get the same ones again though.. they go the other way

thanks guys thats what i needed to know... i think i put them in backwards because i had them in a vise when i did it and they were upside down. so i was thinking this side up and it was acually that side going down. do you think i can just take the fork out of the trees then just slide the old one out and slide the new one back down the fork tube.. i dont want to take them back all the way down if i dont have to..

if the seals haven't been installed too long .. you
might
get away with just flipping them (not replacing them)
and yes , if you can get the seal out without taking the fork apart, that would be ideal

there brand new seals.... bikes hasnt seen one mile yet. only use on them is being hauled in a truck and ratched down..

I'd invest in a seal puller, it would keep you from nicking up your forks worse than they are. Those nicks can harm brand new seals bud.

hmm i fliped them around.. i got them out pretty easy got them off the fork tube and inspected them they seem to be all right the wipers seem fine. do i have to press those seals back in or can i just push them in and get the clip to just go in on top of them.. i think last time i just pushed them in didnt press them or anything.. thanks ryan
