just like firing a gun.
 
or as stated before just use a tripod.

Cloudy days doesn´t often result in good photos, guess I was lucky in this shot because i really like the light.

Just a comparison...........1st was taken in '73 with a 110..........next was a digital shot in my front yard of the same bike taken in summer of 2009.........

Here are a couple that I think are pretty nice.


I like this one.  Last spring I did an HVLP paint job using some $7 ace rustoleum paint in a color I picked off the house colors chart!  My dad decided it was the perfect color for his bus, so it got it too!


This one isn't very good, but I think mid-project garage shots can be great.  



I think a monthly or weekly photo contest would be great!  There are some great picture takers and photographers on this site, and some beautiful bikes as well.

I disagree.  Cloudy days give a nice filtered light with soft shadows.  Bright sunny days give harsh light with harsh shadows.  Either can be nice, but it depends on what look you want.  Typically, if you are going for some emotion, soft light is best.

This one could've been better as the sun was going down but it went so fast from normal to orange to gone because of the foliage.  Hard to get right because of the shadows everywhere.
