Slow jet availibilty question ( I need bigger then stock)

I just had a break through today.  I have finally figured out what's up with my motor, I found out the slow jets are to small to support the pods I'm usuing (please put down the the clubs and flaming torches, ;D I now realize the folly of my decision to round file my air box and it's mounts).  After locating an old set of "drilled out" slow jets we had I did a little test run and holy #@*!, it's never ran that good since I've had it.  But with those jets came a new problem my bike now guzzles gas like it's going out of style.

So now my question, is there anywhere I can get larger slow jets?  They will be for a 73 750.

I modified the longer jets and they work fine .
You may need to add extra holes to the emulsifier tube .

You might want to check the FAQ section about carbs.  There's a nice rule of thumb in there about how to size jets and where to set needles when making changes.  The larger slow jet might work better than the original layout, but you still might have a lot of power/smoothness left to uncover.

Thanks for the info guys, but I think I'm just going to buy a stock air box and put some new tabs on the frame to replace the ones I cut off.  I'm just sick and tired of playing around with these pods, i just don't think I'm ever gonna get good gas mileage with them so I'm just going back to the box.

I think that's what i'm going to do.  That part wasn't hurt when we did the hardtail.  I know it's not the most stylish thing in the world, but they work.  The pods look cool but like Loyd has always said they're just not worth the constant tuning issues.
