Float help, take two
« on: April 05, 2010, 03:12:14 PM »
I'm putting this out again to try to clarify my question. I'm trying to remove the float 'valve seat' without luck.

It's the brass bit that pushes into the aluminum body of the carb and is part of the overall float assembly. I'm having a terrible time working on it, and on my carb rack my number 1 is leaking badly and it can only be because my float will not close properly. I've tried different float valves and floats, measuring the float height, etc, but no luck. How the hail does this thing come out?
