headlight testing?
« on: April 04, 2010, 08:35:42 PM »
So I've read up on the whole starter switch controls power to the headlight thing and am having the same old same old problems everyone else has. The starter switch (the plastic parts have gone to crap) is gone but the the wires and a small plate that they are wired to is still intact. I'm pretty sure it's the switch because all the connections at the headlight still look pretty good (grounds and everything). Is there a way to temporarely jump some of the switch wires to at least see if the headlight will turn on? Because I'm not getting any voltage to the fuse, so I'm assuming it's because no power is being sent via a crap RH switch? I really don't want to pay the 100+ bucks for a new RH assembly and was thinking of pulling the wires and just mounting another switch ( "radio shack special") somewhere else.

Any advice or help would be appreciated, thanks!
