Anyone seen this seat before ???
« on: January 21, 2006, 04:06:55 PM »
Hey ,

In the market for a new seat, and I think I like the on the bike in the link...

http://www.bratstyle.com/custom/73/73.htm
( i would post a pic, but for some reason this pic is cursed >:()

I like how it sits flush with the frame, and I also like the fact I haven't seen it used allot.
I am having trouble finding any info on it, as what it came off of, who makes it,
etc.. Anyone have a clue ???

it's all written there, isn't it? It clearly says

" タンクの長さや深さリアフェンダーの位置、長さ、配色、マフラー製作など全て微妙に仕上" , don't it? ....  ;D

CBJ---->
Let's see some pics of this seat you got going ???
Maybe I will have you make me one for my ride...

BEACHPEOPLE------------>
Let me know what you find out about that seat A.S.A.P ! I think that is the style I want
to go with for my CB project. Make sure you get cost, availability, fitment, etc...They make some pretty
trick parts, would be nice to get a phone number or something, and actually talk to a live person,who hopefully
speaks english... ;D

The seat below is "THE SEAT" for my CB...

I e-mailed them yesterday but haven't heard back. I know what you mean about the seat, though. If I don't get anything back from them thar Bratbike dudes, then I guess we'll just have to figure this one out for ourselves! I'm thinking that the price might just drive me to make my own anyway... I hate spending big bucksters on something I can do with a template, a piece of plywood, and a local shop.We'll see I guess.

Thats a pretty simple looking seat guys, any half-decent "stitch #$%*" should be able to make you one for not much money. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

I am waiting to hear from user BEACHPEOPLE to see how much those seats are,
availability, etc...If they want too much $$$ for the seat , then I will have to either make
a version myself, or look elsewhere for a seat...

tank on that bike looks like a triumph tank but it could be a modded honda, they do a lot of custom work on that site. looks like a triumph seat pillion also but since it follows the kick up in the frame I am willing to bet it was a custom flat metal seat pan covered to look like an old triumph pillion, since brat style offers custom seats that look exactly like that i bet it is one of theirs.

Proteal, a seat like that would not be hard to make, just make the flat pan out of some sturdy stock and take it to an upolstry shop, they should be able to hook you up.

personally I like this seat a lot more:

would also love to knwo where they get those old timey firestone tires.

Amen. Those are bbbeeaauuutiful... Wowee. Actually, I recommend everyone go check out these bikes. They're not perfect imo but they have a lot of excellend styling and great use of things I'd never touch like metal flake paintjobs and goober handlebars. The Japanese have this great raw simplicity thing going on. These by no means hold a stick to the zerochops but they're indeed gorgeous in their own right. Lots of nice seats. I might even stitch my own seat on the GF's moms' sewing machine. I'll just use faux leather so it isn't too thick. After a year I figure I'll have changed my taste to a different seat anyway.

but yeah. The original point was just to point out those gorgeous tires...
