That front end should look cool.
It's too bad everybody lives so far apart. I have a frame jig made from 2X3 box tubing tacked together, I checked out a similar frame on it.
At the rear it has 1/2" steel mounts with holes for the 20mm axle and the swingarm. The front has frame shims and clamps. For measuring, I used plumb bobs and a triple tree with a piece of chrome moly tube inserted through it.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Thanks Don. I think the front end will work out good.

Yes it is too bad we are not closer. I would definitely like to utilize the frame jig you have. Not to mention see your collection.

Unfortunately I am at a screeching halt. Funds have dried up for now. I have enough tucked aside to pay for my seat once my buddy and his dad are done with it. He is about an hour away but was nice enough to offer to deliver it to me when it is done so he can check out the project and have a chat. So looking forward to that. When funds get back to normal I am prioritizing getting the frame powder coated. A buddy of mine is giving me a smoking deal on the powder coating. After that it is getting the other neck bearing and mounting the front end.

So ya not much to report. Life has been crazy besides. On a good note though our family just got a retired PTSD dog and he is such a blessing. He has given me much healing and is great with the entire family.

Thanks for checking in. Hope all is well with you.

Not much to report but mocked up the bars and grips to get an idea of what it would look like. I dig it.

Hoping to get the rear brake linkage sorted over Easter break as well.

That looks pretty cool.
A little shop time here and there can be very therapeutic, even just cleaning up a part or sweeping up.
Are you seeing some warmer weather yet?

Yes man for sure it is very therapeutic. I had a real rough go the last couple of months mental health wise. Coming out of it now. Found out my ADHD meds triggered some of my Bipolar issues. Off those meds now and getting back to normal.

The weather is very nice considering where I live, LOL. Motorcycles everywhere yesterday and today. Tad jealous to be honest. But man that first ride is gonna be so sweet.

My buddy and his Dad almost have my seat done. Can't wait to see it. They are looking after me and I made sure they had the ability to fit it in between jobs. Lots of back and forth with him to get the look right. That being said I mostly let them run with it. I told them I wanted the seat to be a main focal point of the build. All of it being based of the stock seat they are modding. No messing around with mounting points.

Thanks for the interest.

Spent a few minutes picking at the rear brake setup.

I think this should work. Alot cleaner looking and functions way better than the previous setup.

Clearances are tight but I think it should be good.

Can only post one picture at a time or the post won't post.

Looks like it could work just fine to me. I'd have a look after the first 100 miles then a few more times before pronouncing it good.

I know just what you mean about posting only one photo orvit won't post. I tend to post my text then add pictures posting them one at a time hitting the Modify button and adding them all to the one post.
Its a pain but it works much better than hosting photos somewhere else, plus non-members can't view them.

Cool man thank you for the input on the setup and the tip about pictures. I think i follow what you meant about the pictures. I am not real tech savvy.

I am going to add locking nuts behind the two rod ends for good measure too.

Locknuts sound like a good plan.

Not tech savvy is ok, I just want to share hints on how I've learned to communicate effectively on forums over the years.

I wouldn't call it cutting corners as opposed being satisfied with a first rendition, but I have decided to make a few changes to the overall plan for the bike in the interest of shortening this long term project.

The frame will be stripped along with the swing arm, center stand, kickstand and will be painted by me as opposed to powder coated.

The front end will be flushed, new springs, new caps as I don't want to scimp on quality there.

Brakes are strait forward just need pads and one retaining bolt.

The engine will not be getting all the parts I wanted for it as it would be a huge chunk of change to get the cam upgraded. Instead I will focus on getting new pistons, rebuild the oil pump, new cam chain guide, cam rollers and rebuild the head then call it good.

I would love to put some money into the engine beyond the necessary to get it running but I can't afford to do that so it is what it is.

Still have to rebuild carbs too and clean tank, God willing that should not cost much.

Lots to do and very little money to make it happen. So is life.
