Latigo Canyon Road was the most challenging road I have ever been on...it was INSANE!!!!

Wow! That looked like an excellent ride - really like the video got a very impression of the terrain. More photos would have been good maybe a short section of video on the really twisty mountain section

What software/app are you using to do this? Would like to adopt it for my New England rides.

If I come to LA and rent a bike will you show me some routes like this or maybe share a GPX file? I just checked the Google maps link - amazing! How is the traffic? Jet Blue flies to LA direct from Boston

So I finally have returned my CB450 Black Bomber tach/Speedo top the guys at http://www.foreignspeedoinc.com.

They did the recalibration originally and it never worked properly.

It seems to work well. It is smooth. I have to hope that it is accurate. I now know where 8000rpms actually is? Video above just to show my temporary tach/idiot-lights setup.

So here's the question, if you made I this far. At 8000rpm in 5th, iPhone GPS says I am going 102mph.

I always hear that a 1978 CB750K can go 120ish mph...have you gone that fast? If so, what RPM was it?

It is simple math to calculate actual speed using rpm, final drive ratio, sprocket size, tire size...well not that simple i guess. Just google up the equation.

So I sent the Bomber Speedo/tach back and they calibrated it for the wrong bike. Then I sent it back again and am currently waiting...3 times the charm?

Had Foreign speedo work on a Volvo 240 cluster years ago (Greater than decade ago now,) ...they did very good work. Sorry to hear they have messed up a couple times...

Did you calculate a correction factor for drag in the chain drive? Better to be slightly high than low when dealing with the police...

I just followed the instructions given to me by Foreign Speedo...Counted the turns cable turns, rolling the bike for a given distance...repeated 3 times (actually did 5) and sent them the information

Well, I am still waiting for the rebuilt speedo/tach and I am using the mini tach pictured above, it has been working well but on yesterday's ride it started going crazy...thrashing all over the place and swinging violently side to side...I am thinking that new cables may be in order? The ones I have appear to be fine and I greased them with All purpose Chassis grease...and the tach was fine....maybe I need shorter cables since I am not running the stock clock placement? Super annoying

Finally got the Black Bomber tach/speedo back from Foreign Speedo...I really hope it works properly this time. I know they have tried their best, but they clearly gouged the face of the gauge this time, I assume prying off one of the needles. Since the unit sit much lower than stock, I am thinking shorter cables might help out...maybe the CB350s have shorter speedo and tach cables...anybody have or know where I can get cable length info?

UPDATE: The speedo calibration seems to be bang-on this time...it matched from 0-80mph exactly then seems a little slow from 80-100mph when compared to GPS

And yes, I think it will be my last born-free...it is not my scene. It was a fun ride regardless.

It's definitely a different scene. I like the trackers and invited builder customs. There are definitely plenty of girls with daddy issues to make it somewhat entertaining.
