Your idle mixture screws (IMS) appear to be way out of whack sir!  If they are indeed the stock screws, they should be just about flush with the carb body, requiring a small stubby flat head screwdriver for adjustment.  The screw has a spring, washer and then oring installed on it in that order.  The oring and washer often get stuck in the bottom of the screw hole requiring a small pick tool for removal.  When fully seated (seat it gently) the tip of the IMS will just stick into the carb bore and you can feel its tip with your finger.  Back out the screws about 1 1/2 turns for an initial setting.  Basically it doesn't look right in the pic with the gas leaking and that would explain why the gas is leaking.  Have fun with your project!
