Frame Interchangability?
« on: May 23, 2013, 03:02:21 PM »
Picked up a 74 CB550 today in rough condition for a project I want to do.

Looking at frames, nobody offers a hardtail kit or frame for the 550. However, I was told that the 74 550 motor that I have should bolt right into a frame made for a CB650 motor. Is this true? If that is the case, I can order one from CycleOneManufacturing for a 650..

Thanks for the help

Yes..550 and 650 have same mounts/case dimensions...more common to put 650 int 500/550 frame though..!!
