Am I a motorcycle geek of the worst kind?

I love formatting hard drives until they are as BLANK as a black hole........ then I create 6 or 8 partitions with different operating systems....... I espeicially like to load Microsoft Windows in a partition next to IBM's OS/2 Warp 4....... love to listen to them bashing each other through the magnetic field waves......

I teach middle school...so according to the students, we are all geeks.  According to people my own age well, hmmm... they definately don't understand why I would spend my time learning to turn a wrench on a 30+ year old motorcycle instead of making payments on a brand new one...so yea, I am a geek.  Lovin' it.

I guess I must be a Geek, since I already had a mountain of info on my 750 before I even brought it home!

Love HAM radio, have Windows Vista installed on my PC that I built my self that incorporates two heater cores out of a Ford Falcoln, a fish tank water pump, and a thermoelectric cooler that keeps my PC's CPU around -10°C 24/7 while I overclock my AMD Athlon X2 3800+ to 2.6Ghz. Does that make me a geek?

And I thought that I was the only person who accumulates a library of information, magazine articles, brochures and anything else I can find, about the bike that is in my ownership at any time. Not to forget the special tools that may be necessary to work on it. People love buying my bikes when I sell them on!

Yep, I gotta absorb as much info as possible concerning any new car, bike, gadget, trinket, or toy (including my kids' toys, LOL)  It's almost as much fun as working on 'em or even riding/driving them.

(for a geek) ;D

Theres a term I've been using lately that might sum it up.  You know the riding style flat/dirt track racers use, motard?
Well the word itself sounds like an insult to motorcycle enthusiasts.  a "geek' or "nerd" if you will.
Used in such ways.  "Man, that guy with the assless chaps on the CB is a motard. or "Didi you see that guy with a GPS ducktaped to his handlebars, what a motard!
Feel free to use this expression liberally.

We are all a bunch of MOTARDS!
and while reading some of these posts, I do beleive there are a couple of SUPER MOTARDS in this forum. :D

These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.

I'm a geek (not a nerd), a jock (ran cross country while playing varsity football), a redneck (grew up on a small farm where everything was at least 20 years old), a cowboy (that farm was also a ranch), a brain (currently an electronics engineer/tech), a MacGuyver (see post above and post in my sig), and a motorcyclist (or biker, which ever term is preferred). Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than master of one!

I see the results are starting to get interesting now!

Is there anyone who would like to act as a poser and conduct this poll on some unsuspecting harley riders?
