Topic: 1981 CB650C Carburetor Rebuild Question

I'm in the process of rebuilding and cleaning my carburetors, the Clymer Manual indicates that there is a "clip" which attaches to the Needle Valve, suggesting it's purpose is to somehow affix the Needle Valve to the Float.  But, when I removed the Needle Valve and float assembly from all (4) carbs, there was no "clip" affixed to anything.  The Needle Valve appears to simply slide into a mounting provision on the float, without any "clip" to hold it on tot he float.  The carb rebuild kits I purchased do not seem to include ad "clip" either.  Is a special "clip" required?

my mistake i thought that honda went to dohc after 79 perhaps it was just the 750..... sorry ...... oh wait this is the open forum perhaps it would get more attn in other bikes or the tech forum...... dunno

He already re-posted it in the Tech forum.  I was just giving you a hard time.  Honda made the sohc 650 until 1982.
