Too many of these beauties are parted out in my opinion. You have a great place to start on a stocker and a cafe. If there were near me they would be in my garage now waiting for me to finish my other stuff. The 350 4 is a jewel.

HELL YES!!!  who cares if it puts a damper on your current projects!!!  you have one bike that's in pretty good shape to start!  and you could salvage the other bike and sell it!  or use it for parts for the titled bike!

okay so the guy called back, the bike that is titled is the one with the stuck motor. I think what will determine if I buy them is the interchangeability of the two models. He is calling me back with the vin numbers but he thinks one is a 73 and one is a 75. Does anyone know if these models are interchangeable motor wise, that way i can put all the parts on the titled frame?

350F'S were built '72-'74.
one might have been first sold/titled in '75.
a little marvel mystery oil might free up that stuck engine.  ;)
yes, they are interchangeable.  go get 'em!!!

i committed to buying them. so I am going to try to pick them up tomorrow. He told me that the title was signed and dated by someone in 1994 and i believe its a salvage title or non highway title. I live in arkansas and I believe they are one of the more strict states about titles does anyone have any advice on getting a real title for the bike once i get it running?

As the owner of one of the red headed step children of the the SOHC family, I can say that I really do love my CB350f.  It may not be the fastest thing on the road but something about hearing that little 350 scream for its life at 10k brings a smile to my face.  If you can get a titled one in pieces, I say all the better.  i started with a semi running bike and ended up stripping it for a frame up rebuild.

Go for it!  They make awesome city bikes and when you get enough cajones built up in you, they are a trip to take on the freeway (provided your speed limits are around 65 and not 75).

............and more CB's are saved from the crusher....Good news!

Now.....we just need more guys to fix/restore instead of part out....although I might even be guilty of a part out in the right circumstance. :-\

Heck, I just feel lucky to have my 550.... ;D

Well as a 76, I'd have to wait till next year, then I can get a antique title. Probably just set it aside till that happens, or look for a titled frame. Definitely want to restore if possible, my first 750. Just kinda ridiculous the rules some states have to get a title. I think that's why so many bikes end up as parts bikes.

i might need some help from members out there on getting a title for my bike as well, advice on how to do that but its a long time from that. the bikes were in rougher shape than i hoped they would be. The one that has the old old salvage title on it has the end of the frame just past the shocks cut so I am going to make that one into a cafe and then the other one stock. My exhaust were in rough rough shape, that was disappointing. I will take pics today after I get done with my comps and post them and then talk about my plans for the 2 bikes.
