K series petrol tanks
« on: April 10, 2010, 05:33:22 AM »
Hi all,,

Looking into getting a new tank and seat unit for my K7 750, loads of people make them but only list them up until the K6, just wondering if anyone knows if there is any reason (frame mods) that would preclude me from fitting a k6 tank and seat to my k7.
i am expecting some minor alterations (below) but really major ones i don't know about???

1. k7 seat opens from left to right no issues as don;t require seat to lift so will remove brackets from the frame.
2. fuel petcock on the k7 is on the left, think k6 and early were on the right

was looking at Benjis Dolphin seat tank combo.

No stupid at all. Just not a lot of night cruisers on the boards.

Just about any 750 tank will fit on the K7 frame. The seat is the tricky part as they are different, but since you're going aftermarket and will have to make up custom mounts anyway. Should be all set.

Cheers KB. Tank was the major concern. Reakon I can sort the seat out. I will go ahead and order away once pay day comes around...
