« on: April 09, 2010, 11:38:07 AM »
Just got the parts I ordered from dynoman and the valve spring set they sent says 1969 -76. My bike is a 78, am I sending these back?

Did it come with retainers?

Maybe you don't have to.

No. No retainers, springs only!

Hmmm.... measure the height of the old springs (not a relly fair comparison) vs. the new ones.

If there isn't a HUGE difference.... PM Hondaman or someone and see if they will work for you.

They just might.

The parts info from BikeBandit shows that the springs are the same for the following bikes:

1969 Honda CB750K0
1971 Honda CB750K1
1972 Honda CB750K2
1973 Honda CB750K3
1974 Honda CB750K4
1975 Honda CB750F
1975 Honda CB750K5
1976 Honda CB750A
1976 Honda CB750F
1976 Honda CB750K
1977 Honda CB750A
1977 Honda CB750K
1978 Honda CB750A
1978 Honda CB750K
1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.
