you will be about 2 and a half hour drive from me and Ekpent.  I have been to a couple large jap bike salvage yards on the east side of the state but don't remember names or exact locations.  Detroit is more chopper culture.  There are some good mom and pop independant bike shops scattered about, and look up Cafe Racer in Ypsilanti although I doubt there will be much going on there this time of year.  Generally, MI is all about Hardley Ableson.  If you were to ride around with a set of Clubmans, you will get asked why your handlebars are upside down...

I even heard that the "Detroit Brothers" moved to California!

Your builds are amazing. I've been reading your build as I built my 76 F1 and I'm shocked with the custom ideas I think of, you have already done.

Is the tail light on your 836 LED?

With all the different pipes you've put on the 915 you should host your own CB Pipes shootout!

^^^ Thanks Hon3ybadger.  Yes the light on both my 836 builds are led, not sure if you are talking about the K1 or Monkey trainer.  I really like the brightness of led over bulb.

I wish I had easy access to a dyno, would have been interesting to see results from all the pipes compared to one another.

I was talking about the 78F from Jaguar. I thought of building a tail light like that for my 76 and almost fell out of my chair when I saw yours. Being that I'm in southern Washington I'm not to far from wherever you are. When mine gets running good I'll have to come drool over your bikes in person. lol

Let me know when you are up my way...  Also be on the look out for the annual Isle of Vashon vintage bike festival on Vashon Island.  Great time dedicated to vintage steel.

Usually, second or third week in September.  Is kept a secret but usually leaks a few weeks before.  If you are on FB, there is a group (primarily Portland) dedicated to vintage bikes and rides call Rockers NW.  Look it up, great vintage community in Portland.  Send me a pm if you need further details.

Billet preload adjusters, stem cap, rear wheel adjusters, and brake reservoir caps.

What size rims and spokes did you get from Sun?

After much consideration I have decided to sell the 915.  Ebay auction starts tomorrow.

I want someone else to enjoy the bike and ride it like it deserves.  With my two little girls getting so busy into soccer and dirtbike riding I decided to clean up shop and sell some bike.

Not posting this here to advertise the sale, just wanted the Sohc family to know I am selling it.  This will limit the PM's from people who see it on eBay.   ;D

Andy- the funny thing is the decisions wasn't that difficult...  Spending the time with my daughters and helping with their sports is totally worth it.  I just looked at the limited miles I have been able to ride with all my bikes and felt the bikes were not getting the usage they deserve.  Hell, the 915 only have 1390 miles on it!  I am selling all my bikes with the exception of the K1 I just built and the dirtbikes.

I am not too worried about the $$ I get out of the bike (because I know I will never ret what I have into it  :o)  I just want someone to have it that will respect it, take care of it and ride it!
