I am going to use hubs off of a 1976 750f. All the bearings are the same size as the comstars, might need to machine some spacers for the wheels and make the second front disc work.

Man I love what you have done with your bike. The engine and carb work is great! I would really love to see it in person some time. I am shopping for a SS 750, so hopefully in the near future I will have a winter project similiar to yours. Good job man!

They will put any automotive color into a spray can for you. The color is Porsche meteor grey metallic.

So I decided to change up my 750.

I have the first step of my laced wheel conversion completed. I picked up some 76f hubs and had them powdercoated gloss black. The I order up some Sun rims and stainless spokes and nipples from Buchanan's, new bearings from AllBalls. This was my first time lacing up spoked wheels of any kind and this site was a ton of help. I still have a ways to go to complete the wheel swap but getting the wheels built was a big first step...

I have never been happy running my Mac exhaust so I cut up my 750f rear foot control mount and picked up a yoshi replica pipe in stainless.

I think I want to keep it stainless and not planning on coating it. I started to polish it up and think it is looking pretty good. I also made a new gauge bracket, powdercoated it and added led idiot lights for oil/ neutral.

I have also added some grat bits I picked up from Kevin at 400four store http://www.400fourstore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=4

Billet preload adjusters, stem cap, rear wheel adjusters, and brake reservoir caps.

LED's are radioshack specials, worked great. I pictures are not the best of the bracket but it came out pretty nice and the gloss powder topped it off.

You have done an amazing job and the Bike looks incredible. I'm a little pissed that you're stealing bikes from my turf though.

Sorry for taking bikes from your hood. It is difficult to get a decent deal on a cb up here in Seattle. I wish I could remember the name of the shop I picked this one up from, he said he had a warehouse full of old cb's.

I never did get a chance to ride it as a stock 736, it was in pretty bad shape. It is a kick in the a$$ to ride now.

Where did you pick the exhaust up from? I know Carpy sells replicas and there was another guy on here also from Moto GP Werks (x-yoshi engineer). I emailed the guy at Moto GP and still have not herd back, but I can't wait to see new pics with the wheels and exhaust.

Pipe is from eBay, moto gp werks was the seller. Not sure if I got one of his last stainless or not. Have not seen anymore listed since I bought mine last week.

Will do, I have to wait to complete the wheel swap before I can fit the pipe since the bike is up on the jacks with out the wheels on. The suspense it killing me, but I am at least a couple weeks away from the initial fit.

I know the place. Dave is the Owner, Nice guy with Dark/greying Hair and beard? He's helped me out on a few occasions.

He's worked on Honda's since they originally rolled off the boats and invaded the US. He knows his stuff.

Maybe I missed something but aren't the flanges on the pipe you got different from those on a "F" head? I had thought there were two different types and didn't think they were interchangeable.

Excellent build, very nice job on the wheels. Could you document what parts you use to make them work? Like forks, spacers etc. I've got a 77, and am looking to change over to spokes. Thanks!

The pipe bolts on to the head fine. The problem with the F is the rear brake master cylinder, it interferes with the pipes up sweep.

That is good to hear, I'm not worried about the master cylinder or the passenger pegs, I have a plan for that. I'm looking forward to seeing the wheels on and checking out the new video of the exhaust!
