Motorcycle Video Games
« on: April 05, 2010, 01:50:29 PM »
Got an XBox for Christmas mainly so the kids (and my wife) could play Guitar Hero / Rock Band. For my birthday last week I got a copy of MotoGP 08 and it's been keeping me amused.
I was curious if any one had played this game or had recommendations for other motorcycle games?

Tourist Trophy is good.    I always liked the Grand Tourismo car games too.    I have on the pc the original Road Rash that I do play some.

I've played several motorcycle video games, but none that I ever really liked.  I have been really enjoying the new Forza Motorsports 3 the past few weeks, though.  It's easily my favorite racing video game since Need For Speed on the original Playstation.

MotoGP looks like a good game, its got me thinking we picked up a XBox 360 for our daughter and its collecting dust mostly so it maybe time to get that game and dust off the console.. ;)

There's so many cool racing games out there.  I remember playing the original Road Rash on Sega Genesis, talk about your flashbacks.  I saw Motogp in the store but didn't pick it up.  I'll probably go back and get it.  Who doesn't want to be Rossi?

I like the motorcycles on Mariokart Wii.

They even have a bike that looks like a CR750.

Not a motorcycle game but you just made me think of the original Mariokart on the SNES.  God I used to play that for cash.

I have Tourist Trophy for the PS2 and have found it very entertaining. I like the fact that if you don't use the proper riding techniques, you will lose to the AI players. I am not big on the games that you can just gun it and ride the guardrail around every corner and still win just because your car is faster. Haven't played the MotoGP games, are they comparible to TT?

I had forgotten all about that one. That was an arcade legend

Gameplay sucks, but "Racing Spirits" for the PS2 lets you run a works Honda CR175 I think it was called. The little one from the 60's that looked like a moped with a fairing.

Hmm road rash I remember that game.... Now I know what I can do with my old chain.  Then I can just blame it on the video games and my parents not loving me enough... That gets you out of any responsibility right?

Absolutely, you can sue whoever made that game after you do it, for poisoning your brain!

Not a simulation type motorcycle game, but has anyone here played Full Throttle? That game was the #$%*. Too short though.

The thing that pisses me off about tourist trophy is that you don't get to actually run the Isle of Man. I don't understad why they call it Tourist Trophy. It's pretty much gran turismo with bikes....it's still a fun game though.
