There was a dyno chart of Spartys 836 with one in it in the gallery but I don't know where the gallery has gone.
It might be in his own site which shows the complete build by Mike.
http://home.comcast.net/~aentz626/site/
I think it made 94.3bhp with just 836ccs 8) 8) 8)
There's a 125-75 going into my 836 auto drag bike that Mike is working on now.;)

G'day Mick

The last couple of cams I've had in the motor have had a ridicules amount of overlap and this one is definitely a lot smother.
But all that's pretty relative.
The bike won't make it to the dyno until Early August.
I will make a point of giving you a seat of my pants impression after this weekend.

I'll make a point of snapping a pic of the best sohc solos at the meet.
That's if they don't sic the security onto me. They get a bit antsy when us big hairy chair riders start loitering around their precious bikes.

125-75

.400" lift intake @ 262 degrees of duration (@.040") Lobe center of 105 degrees
.375" lift exhaust @ 257 degrees of duration (@.040") Lobe center of 104.5 degrees.

This cam is almost dead on the one that Pop's Yoshimura designed. It was called the "Daytona Cam" and worked well in 812cc and even 836cc high performance engines along with 750 CR type engines.

I have even a nicer cam for these size engines with compression up from stock, but not more than 11:5 to 1.

Geez!
Your onto me Sam.
The week didn't start to well.
Pat my passenger/mate has been having some back pain for awhile and got the results of his MRI on Thursday.
Unfortunately it looks as though he has ruptured three vertebra and may not be able to race again.
As you could imagine the news put a bit of a damper on the whole show.
Pat and I started racing dirt track chairs back in 1981 and I have not raced with any other passenger on a regular basis.
I parked my ass in a corner after the news and decided to pull the pin.
Pat wouldn't have a bar of that and after a few hurried phone calls organised a replacement for this meeting.
Young Kane is the son of one of our toughest rivals and although he hasn't had much experience he was very keen to mix it with his old man.
Saturday's racing consisted of three races combined as a point score.
After some pretty hectic racing Kane's dad pipped us by a couple of points overall for the day, but Kane had some bragging rights as we managed to win two of the three races. But a bad start resulting in a midfield finish cost us in the end.
Pat spent a lot of time between races helping Kane get up to speed with what was required on the bike, so I was a little tardy acquiring photos but I do have some and we will be racing at Winton in four weeks and I promise to do better then.
24 sidecars lined up for the Victorian Historic Titles on Sunday and we all had a great days racing.
The title race was run over 7 laps and we where happy with our second placing considering the circumstances.
7 laps was just a little to far for an old fat fella like me.

MRieck's new cam is the ant's pants.
It has improved our bikes acceleration and torque lower in the rev range, making it a lot easier to ride.
Even with Pat unavailable we still managed to shave off 1.5sec. on our previous best time.
Thanks Mike.

Cheers,
Brian

sorry to hear about your friend but great to read about the camaraderie between competitors down under.

the day that we hang the leathers for good comes for everybody at the end, at least you are going to do it with good results under your belt.

some special frame on that 500 (?) based racer... any details.

Cheers
