I would guess at that income level you would qualify for subsides to help pay for it. Maybe it would not cover all the cost? I take it you don't have any health care coverage now? If not, who is going to pay if you have a catastrophic illness that could run into tens of thousands or more that you may not be able to afford? We, the taxpayers. Or would you be so noble as to refuse treatment to save us all the money?
At my income level, or at any income level, I do not want any subsidies to help pay for it.
That would be a burden on other people who should not be
forced to shoulder my responsibilities.
No, it would not cover all the cost.
You are correct, I do not have health coverage.
Who will cover the tens of whatever that this plan covers that is not paid in by the person who has the coverage.......
He pays $1,500 a year, his costs have been $35,000 this year.....Would I be so "noble?"
That has already been proven and done. I footed the bill out of my pocket for "tens of thousands" for an accident and for a later sickness. I am not rich, I paid cash for the accident and made a biweekly payment on the other until it was all paid off. No one did it for me. No one
should have to or be forced to do so.And that is where the issue I raised is being sidestepped. This cannot be denied that it is being forced on to people, whether they want it or not.
And that is not freedom.
Is it really believed that the majority of these politicians, irregardless of political party, care if you drop dead on the sidewalk?
I saw two men die on a sidewalk 5 feet away from me. I rushed over to help, to do whatever I could. I began crying when I realized they were dead. Police were called. I did not see any politician show up and start to do something, anything, nothing, laugh, cry,
or get angry that two humans are gone.It is control, power, money, ego. What a thrill to tell the bigwigs at Prudential, Hartford, Bank of America, IBM and Exxon what they are going to do. Why, it's enough to make you so exhausted, you can sleep at night...... no matter what your conscience says about the Constitution.
Now, Federal can usurp control from individual states. Health care can be taken as an interstate commerce. A man in California refuses insurance, hence, raising the insurance rates for a man in Nevada. The Federal will take care of this by making it mandatory across the nation. The states will lose some ground here. Now, for the next step.....
