How to Mount Tank Badges for Cb750F1
« on: April 14, 2010, 01:22:42 AM »
I need some assistance to tell me how to mount the tank badges.

Have bought the 4 little clips, and cannot work out how they mount correctly

would like to get it right

anyone have experience at this??

The badges have the pins on the rear that slide through the metal strips on the tank, but the clips are really small, and seem that they must be put behind this strip somehow??

I'm a bit confused at this time...
thanks in advance for any help
cheers

Try sticking the clips on with a tiny bit of silicone sealer then push the badges on. No easy answer. Another option I will try is a thin stainless bladed spatula like we use in the pharmacy to count pills/mix creams with that might help hold the clip while I begin pushing.

Hope someone will have the magic idea.

Hi the little clips go in the holes on the strip of metal on your tank,

then you offer up the badge and push the pins on the back of the badge through the little clips and the strip of metal,

i think they open out slightly and grip holding your badge on  ;), cheers Mick

thanks mcpuffett,

will give that a go in the next day or two, now that seems obvious is what I should have done,

clips do look a little tight - but I supposes there is a few coats of fresh paint on there as well..
