I guess I need new muffer bearings?

Anyway, I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the options for a new exhaust.  Cycle X claims their 4 into 2 into 1 high performance exhaust system is it (and it looks like they're coming out with street, drag and road racer 'super' high performance exhaust systems--website just updated)

I'm not much for the black exhaust look (but maybe I could be convinced if anyone had a really great review), so I was leaning towards either the Vance & Hines 4 into 1 Sidewinder or a chrome MAC 4 into 1 / 4 into 2.  Thoughts or recommendations in regards to performance, sound, and looks?

I'm pretty new to the 750 (and bikes in general) scene, so thanks for bearing with me.

Are you planning on medium to hard cornering ??..

..if so ,take the Sidewinder off your list..

Frank was being kind........If you plan to go around right-hand turns the side-winder will get road-rash!  The Mac systems look OK but add nothing to performance.  The Cycle X unit looks really nice in ceramic. Take a look at the Carpy version of the Yoshimura pipes.  If your 750 is stock or intended to be stock some day........get some new replacement originals.  From a value point of view........a 4-1 or 4-2 system is necessary to ride the bike. Original pipes add double the cost to the value of the bike.

Gave Carpy's version a look OS--must be I'm just being picky because I guess I'm not much for that upswept look either.  I did look into going with the originals a while back (around a $1000 I think?) 


Is the performance aspect of the cycle X a pretty big improvement?

you know...
i have a friend who restores old bugs, and he said there is this kind of pivot ring that goes around the exhaust manifold.
muffler bearing?

anyone who has worked on them could definitely set the story straight

id look for a 4-1 if there is room for one in the collector, make a spire spike looks like an X straight on and a > from the side. i guess it helps a ton with creating a vacuum in the pipe
