Seattle Cretins MC TT & Save the Salt Benefit
« on: August 12, 2010, 07:12:24 AM »
Saturday August 21st

Passing this on for my friends in the club, planning on being there on my CB550 if it gets done in time, if not I'll be pulling out the CB200 "loaner" bike I've been riding.  Always a great event, last time they did it I took 3rd place in the TT, they send out 2 riders the day before, one on a fast bike one on a slow bike & average the 2 times & that is what you are shooting for.

I didn't make it, waited for a couple of guys I was riding down with, then one had shifter problems.  We tried to get it fixed on the side of the road with no luck.  His Cb400f cafe that he just finished wouldn't shift past 3rd & was a pain to get into nuetral.  My first thought was the linkage on the Raask rearset, tried the shifter off my CB550 & samer problems, must be the shift fork or the drum.  After a being in the hot sun for so long I was worn out & heard by that time it was pretty much over, saw some pictures of the Bonneville bikes & hope they so well.

Well at least I'm not the only one who missed it.
