Exhaust options for CB350 four?

I'm looking into options to replace either the entire exhaust system or just the mufflers on mu 1973 350F.  The MAC 4-into-1 looks good but I wonder about ground clearance & how loud it is (would prefer quieter rather than louder, I'm OLDER than the bike) anybody out there old enough to remember Barney Miller with one of these on their bike?  Another option I've heard talk of is to use the 500/550 4-into-2 slip-on mufflers also from MAC (001-0611) together with the stock 350F head pipes - Anybody out there done this? Is the solution an easy fit & relatively quiet?  Based on pictures I'm guessing this is what's one my bike right now (rotted-out though).   Are there any other cheap options out there? Any / all feedback appreciated - Thanks

Not cheap but original style is available from Dave Silver
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

I have the 350 head pipes with 500 mufflers 4 into 2. It isn't quiet, but it isn't loud either. I think it's just about right.  It has a nice little snarl when you get on it. There are clearance issues with that setup though. I had to use washers to shim them so they don't ride on the axle.

I just picked up a stock 73 CB350F Four and am thinking about throwing on the 4 - 1 and possibly some pods. I do not plan to run a muffler (I know they need back pressure, but I want the thing loud) and am curious about tuning it. Does anyone have any advice on getting my bike running smoothly again after such a drastic change in airflow? Also, I am a novice- but mechanically inclined.
