pics of early tank on k8 frame
« on: June 19, 2010, 04:32:27 AM »
hi,

i just got new sidecovers for my k8 from lpm and i'm looking to get a new tank to paint to match at the same time. i'm thinking about putting an early tank on my k8 and wondered if anyone had pics of the same. i've heard it doesn't match the stock seat properly, but wanted to see how bad it looked before abandoning the idea. my bike is a rider, not a show bike, but i don't want something that looks too dumb.

thanks,

jt

The earlier tanks are a bit shorter than the K8's. You'll have a bit of a gap.

I don't have a stock seat on mine, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like:

That looks like the same style seat pan I got coming off of ebay for my 77K. I'm thinking about my stock tank or an F tank or an earlier tank (tough decision)
