need to know what Jets to buy
« on: January 24, 2006, 05:43:18 PM »
I have a 1977 CB750F

My air filter case is cracked to hell and allowing way too much air in as it is.  I've gone back and fourth on whether to leave the stock filter or get pods.  I know its better to leave the stock filter on but I got to tell ya, I’m sick of having to take it on and off every time I have to get to the carbs.

anyone know what size jets I need for Pod filters?  I also have a white brothers exhaust installed giving it more back pressure.

thanks

I dont know what to tell you BUT Buffo has cracked this nut already. I have not seen him for a while but maybe someone here knows what he is doing and maybe can find out what type of jets he used. He actually tapped is carbs to accept screw in slow jets. I would like to know this info to cause it may come in handy sometime.

Do a search for "pods" and you will find the last few posts on this topic.

It takes a while to get it all working  properly with each bike having its own issues.
Pod type, exhaust  type, jet size, carb tuning.

I got my 78K to work with 138 mains, may go to 140s in the future. K&N pods, 4-2 Mac exhaust

Good luck ;D
