Don't paint it.... just stop scrubbing it and send it.

I'll blast it 5 mins. before I powdercoat it.

No sense in wasting time and money to scrib the rust and primer only to have me have to take it all off.

I can't tell from the pics, did you break a piece on the bar, the bar itself or did you break the bushing inside the carb stay plate?  I may have what you need, but if you broke the bushing, I'm in the same boat.  Lemme know.

The bushing lol. Thing just rotted right off. I gotta drill it out still.

Bummer on the bushing.  I ended up going to a salvage yard and picked up an extra set of carbs just so I could get the stayplate with good bushings.

HI: What type of spark plugs do you use? In the day when my bike was new I went to a champion R6G. They were a hotter plug but my CB550F ran very good! GC

I just use NGKs. Have always used them in every Honda I have ever owned, they have never let me down yet.

So I put some primer on the rear brake cover today. Got it nice and smooth. Going to paint it tomorrow. I have got some of http://www.repaintsupply.com/pd_2_part_2k_aerosol.cfm this on the way, Mlinder recomended it in another thread. Looks decent enough to paint parts.

Broke down the forks, mostly, and started sanding the lower tubes.

Also degreased the wheels and started scrubing them a bit.

Not a lot but more than none which is what I have been doing.
