Hello from the high desert of Southern AZ
« on: April 18, 2010, 11:26:09 PM »
Hello.
My name is David Martin and I live in Sierra Vista, AZ. Sierra Vista is at about 4700 feet above sea level and is home to the U.S. Army Post - Ft. Huachuca. Ft. Huachuca is home originally to the "Buffalo" Soldiers. I've lived here about a year and used to live in Tucson, AZ.

I recently added a SOHC4 to my collection of Hondas.
I bought a '74 CB550K0 that has been off the road for about 20 years from the looks of registration paperwork.
She's missing some parts and I'm using the forums to source those parts.
She's currently two mismatched shades of yellow.  Which I hope to correct before putting her back on the road.

My other Honda bikes:
'65 CA95 Benly Touring 150 - blue (needing total restoration)
'70 S90 Sport 90 - ruby red metalflake  (Yes, a 1970 build, not 1970 registered, US market bike)  (cherry condition)
'81 C70 Passport - parakeet yellow (fair condition, needs new paint and plastic)

Here's some photos included below.
No exhaust other than the header pipes...which really bites considering what a new exhaust costs...
Anyone got some mufflers for a bike intended as a daily rider that are inexpensive?

seat has a tear and missing rear signals and grab bar /
I have a newer proper/better fender, hoping it cleans up well. /
Too bad she's yellow, as I like the sunrise orange flake. I'll return her to that when I do a cosmetic restoration. /
she'll need some soda blasting and lots of polishing and paint to look real good again /
Figure a set of Battlax BT45s would be good for her ...Current rear tire is a old SEARS in excellent condition!

front brake system is disassembled and needs work

Came with original owners manual and a complete toolset.

David
