Just venting, my car is dead...
« on: April 14, 2010, 11:41:52 AM »
My car spat out two pistons on the highway today, fixing it will be too expensive too. I'm glad nobody got hurt, as it was a rather large blowup, with a very impressive trail of oil on the road.
But I'm pretty sad about losing my car.
Since I don't really have any cash to buy a new one, I'll have to take the bus to work for a few months unless my boss decides to give me another car...

It took me the better part of the day to get my sense of humour back, but after a few beers with my friends I now realize it's just a car. If it was my bike, i'd be in tears now.

I know how ya feel, on the way home I crashed my car into telephone pole, We had stopped several times to get some sleep but in the end just a town away i dozed off for a split second and over the curb and pole i went I thank GOD it was no one was hurt, and that there was no one on side walk, car didn't go there but it could have scared someone into a heart attack. Worse part about whole thing, lauging at it now is it happned about 500 ft away from police department. ::). It gonna cost us about 200-300 to fix the underneath, car had to be towed home. But thank God car still starts and runs, as it should on the way home we put new altanator in it lol, and a spare tire. now we are looking at a new tire and tire and rim, as well as the steering rod underneath, broke off on right side.

It generally is a lot less expensive to put a used motor into a car than it is to buy another one. Just a thought.
