who here have carpy seats?
« on: April 18, 2010, 09:28:36 AM »
despite the fact it fit perfectly, the airtech seats glass is so thin i just didnt stand up to someone my size sitting on it. do carpys seats have some good thick glass? i know i'll have to fab some way for the seat to work with my hinges and latch but other than that and the surface not being paint ready, any issues?

I have a Carpy "Dunstall" seat.  It's not finished or painted, but I did have it modified with zeus fasteners (no hinges).  The glass is pretty thick and seems very solid when I sit on it (185 lbs).  Like I said, it's not finished yet but I have no complaints.
It took 10 years but she's finally done!
