CB350F Bench Sync?
« on: April 19, 2010, 05:54:08 PM »
Is there a way to do a quick bench synchronization of the carbs on a CB350F?

I'm having some issues with the running on the bike.  It'll start right up when choked, but the idle goes way high, and climbs as the motor warms up.  It won't run if I even back off the choke a little.

I'm thinking there's a synch issue here, but I don't have the necessary tools yet to do it right.

Hi:

Bench sync is tedious but easy, get everything installed in exactly the same position.

But it sounds like you've got the dreaded plugged low speed jets.  These have very small passages, plug easily, and unplug with great difficulty.  This all takes some experience and knowledge.  If you're into these carbs for the first time, find some help and advice.  Choke application by-passes these jets.
