Those 4 small o-rings?
« on: April 19, 2010, 09:35:21 AM »
The ones under the cam towers. I know that two go around the oil orifice thingies.....the other ones do not have holes in the head just a recess. What is their purpose?

They seem redundant....but I am sure there is a reason.

Thanks

Steve

Good question, I just did the same as you and fitted 2 new ones in the recesses, because that's how it was when i stripped it. ;D

It's my understanding that it's the end of the oil path through the cam towers.  So the oil there is under pressure.  It would prevent leaking and a loss of pressure.
