Hi,
I would like to put a small gel battery on the bike, but I would like also to use the electric starter.
Wich battery could I use? Any ideas?

Cant wait to see this project move forward, it's going to look incredible. I'm really digging the Manx styling. Also, that 4 pack carbon-speed battery is now on my list for my next project. That is if anyone chimes in on their performance.

For now, this project is very very slowly proceeding.... I am still waiting on the guy who is sandblasting the head and i am waiting on some stuff from Voxonda. Today I have made a prototype (of paper) of a central oiltank. This is now going to a friend who does the welding...

How are things coming along? Is that the mini manx tank on their website? What is the width of that tank where it meets the seat? I would like to get one for my 550.

Hi,
Here we are again, after some months of collecting and waiting for parts.
The frame is almost finished, I am still waiting on the oiltank, but it should be rady within a couple of weeks.
The bottom end of the engine is already finished. The top parts of the engines (yes, i've got 2 F2-engines) are measured up. And the result was very good: the 8 pistons are still very good, I can reuse the with only new standars segments, the 16 valves are all good, the cilinders should be rehoned. On 1 cilinderhead the exhaust valve guides should be replaced, but the other cilinderhead is still OK. Pictures about the engine will follow.
I have also bought an ultrasoon cleaner, so I have cleaned en rebuilded 4 carburettors. Somebody need a carb?
The "gordon framekit" is also installed!!
I post some pictures of the frame, the new rearsteps, the carburettors.
That's it for now!

Hi All,
Here we are again, after a few months of waiting for several parts....
The enigine is now completed, the frame is modified and coated, so now is it time to rebuild the bike.
A new part is the swingarm, it's from Kruger & Juninger, really beautiful...
I am still waiting on a exhaust and pistons for the brakes.

What gauge did you use for the rearset brackets? Did you make the piece for the shift linkage to connect to the motor or is it off something? Looks great by the way!

The rearset is from www.metisse.de and it was for a Kawasaki.
I will try to scan the bracket and mail it to you.

Hi,
Here is a updat eon the rebuild.
Installend the oiltank, build a new wiring harness, installed a new headlamp and the winkers, made a bracket for the elc.parts under the seat, new brakes lines
Still to do: exhaust, carbs, oil.

You are tearing the engine apart but you did not even tell us how many miles are on the motorcycle.

I have seen many Honda CB750 forums now where people are tearing engines down that only have 20,000 miles on them. 20,000 miles in not very much for that engine.

It is your money.

Most of these engines just need extensive cleaning and corrosion protection.

When I bought the bike, the engine didn't turn over, everything was in a very bad shape.
The pistons where stucked in the cilinder by rust, there was more water in the engine than oil.
You cant judge if a engine had to opened or not. And yes it's my money.
But you're the "ex" honda mechanic......
