Ever seen this stuff before?
« on: January 22, 2006, 07:20:26 PM »
I found this can when I was cleaning out my Dad's garage, where I kept my bike when I first got it 35 years ago. Looks like it holds about 1 oz of paint. I'm sure it's the best that Nippon Oils & Fats Co. could make. ;D

Maybe touch-up paint? Interesting little mementos I think.

Or, you could advertise them on eBay as "sandcast" paint.  ;)
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

I've heard that those things can go for thou$ands on eBay when you advertise them right.  Maybe the stains on the label show an image of the virgin Mary?  Or Elvis?  :D

Yeah mate, it's factory touch up paint for a Honda bike, I'm not sure when Honda stopped supplying a can with every new bike, but I'm guessing it was probably about the same time they started using primer to hold the paint on, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Somebody posted here a while back (sorry I can't remember the name) how he was able to repaint a set of sidecovers out of an old can of paint like yours.

Vic World includes an original can of Honda touch-up paint with his bikes. When you go to his website they have pictures of the cans in a magazine article about his bike business.

If it's the one that came with your bike, I'd hang on to it.
