I am pretty sure that red cafe was the one I saw last year,, I think I really pissed the guy off. I asked if it was a CR style bike and he said yeah, I noticed it was a 77 or 78, the one with the turned number boss. I pointed it out, I said this is the latest of the late 750s, I am wondering why you would use that to build a bike based on the earliest ones..
I dont think he liked that..
Anyway I completely missed the outside stuff.
Saw a cool 70s BMW cafe as we got near there.. loads of bikes everywhere..
We got a few cool deals, a 750 motor model. a good breadbox aircleaner, bunch of 750 bits.. and a bunch of odds-n-sods..including a 72 750 lower end and head.. that 1080 and 754 will have to fight over.. the guy actually gave it to us, but I got him down to 20 bux...
Another cool thing I got was a wheel clamp, both sides and screw/tightener.., off a bike lift ..for 20 bux..
We had a very brief, meet-n-greet.. upstairs.....only a few showed up.. seaweb and his buddy, a member from acrosss the border.. forget the name, had a cool 750four logo on his shirt..
I also met Magpie, and at least a few more members, some of which only post occassionaly..
It was a great meet..
