On my way out of Fort Smith on hwy71S, a car pulled over into the left turn lane, as another car started by him, he pulled back into the other car, with ME being not too far behind the car he pulled into. ::) What an idiot! Rush hour traffic, "What WAS He Thinking?" Apparently he WASN'T! ::)

On another note though, just about an hour earlier, I was on I-540 (going to pickup my Daughter) and as I was coming up to an entrance ramp (I was already ON the Interstate), a semi in front of me, pulled over to the outside lane, giving ME a straight shot past him AND blocking folks trying to come onto the interstate. :o Bet there were some pretty Po'd folks! Usually the Semi's will move to the Inside lane to make room for those coming onto the interstate. I promise you that I wasted No Time getting past that Semi and as I was getting off of there at the next exit, he waved to me. 8) I DID apreciate the assist, but I wish he hadn't of messed with those other folks though.

These days you really have to be alert and try to second-guess every move vehicles about you MIGHT make, and have a back-up plan in place for the likely event(s).  That's especially true when on two wheels!  However, it also applies to driving four wheels - especially when those are special wheels to you and maybe don't have the stopping power behind them that modern vehicles have.

I like to make a game in my head with second-guessing other motorist's dumb moves - and its surprising how often I can correctly guess.  ::) ::) ::)

You are SO right about that! For some time, Ive seen that MOST everyone has only one thing on their mind. And that is getting to where ever they are going and to heck with everybody else! Thing is, USUALLY (maybe not always),as folks are going to work (or wherever), IF they would each just let ONE car (truck or bike) into the flow of traffic, things would go alot better for everyone. I TRY to do this as often as I can, but sometimes the one you are trying to let in, is either asleep OR thinking "Why is he doing THAT?" A number of people aren't used to being given a courteous gesture and don't know how to react. At least THAT'S MY belief. I remember hearing my Dad talk about things like that, when we would get in the car to go somewhere. He'd get all frustrated beside folks wouldn't give HIM an even break like that.

Oh well, I'll just keep on doing what I can to help the situation out on the road and keep dodging those who drive like THEY are the only ones out there. ;)

UYeah, that's right, it was TODAY (28 April 2010)! Turned off of US Hwy71 onto Zero street and had gone about a couple of blocks. A WalMart Semi was starting to pull across onto Zero St form the left side of the st (nothing coming in THOSE 2 lanes), I was going along, saw the semi and pulled over into the outside lane to give HIM more room to get over further on the street and then, about a block (or less) ahead of me, was an old Ford truck with a (kind of a long) horse trailer and HE decides to start pulling out onto Zero (crossing the lane I was in). Fortunately, I was able to downshift into w3nd gear, veer over into the inside lane (he had stopped by then) and get out around him, making a lot of noise with exhaust and tires breaking loose somewhat. Sure rattled MY cage! I can only imagine the commotion it cause. A little later, I started noticing that my right arm is pretty tender (between the shoulder and the elbow). Makes me wonder if I might have pulled something. Fortunately, there WASN'T an accident, but it sure didn't do ME any good. ::)

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

Aw Jeff, I wouldn't wish the GTX on anybody! No, I'll just keep it here and suffer through things. :D I know what you mean about the Cammed big block. I could just sit and listen to the GTX's 440 Super Commando with the lope that that cam produces, while the engine is idling, ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!! 8) But, I am addicted to hearing it OPEN UP, as well! ;)
