Keihin 29mm CR Special carbs...

For some reason, Keihin hasn't made any in a while...
The supplies are drying up...
Cycle X says you can't get them anywhere...
Dynoman had only one left...

And guess who got it...

Sorry to break it to you, but you'll need three more before you're going anywhere. ;D

Thanks.  I'm pretty excited to see how the bike runs with all the mods.  Lightened and polished crank, Webcam 61a hardweld cam, ported head, polished valves, Wiseco 836 10.5:1 pistons, Cycle X rods, lightened clutch basket, polished and undercut trans, Sun brand alloy rims, Ti retainers, HD valve and clutch springs, etc., etc.  And 29mm CR carbs.   ;D

Hopefully you have some memory of what it was like stock. You'll be able to "feel" the ported head. Its like living with plugged sinuses, then having an operation (like I did) to open them up and WOW. You'll be running before me!  :(

Actually, I'll be able to hop on my K4 for a spin, then hop on the K2 for a direct comparison.  My K4 doesn't get much press here in the forum, but it's keeping me from going batty while the K2 is in pieces.   ;D

What did you have in mind?

I have a suspicion my K4 is not entirely stock though.  There's evidence that some work might have been done to it.  There's SHCS screws instead of Phillips head, and the fins on the juggs are bent and broke (>:() in a way that suggests someone was trying to take it off (maybe to bore out...?).  It also has a lower growl to the exhaust sound compared to the pre-worked K2, even though they both have the same Mac pipes.  It might feel a little stronger than the pre-worked K2, but it's hard to tell just from memory - especially because I didn't hot-rod either all that much.

MC, you mean everyday riding... ;D

Yeah we used to do that all the time...

I meant a midrange roll on (anysize CB750) with Mikunis, against a Weber equipped  CB 750.

Oh I thought you meant between his two CB750s. Against your Webers would be interesting too.

Did you get your carbs installed?
I also have a set that came with no literature at all.
Question, how did you hook up your two fuel lines?
And where did you hook them up?
Carb #1 has a 90degree spigot there’s a straight spigot between carb #1 & #2. One between 2&3 and one between 3&4 carbs. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thx
