Topic: flat/matte paint w/ gloss clear-coat

if i used a matte paint but used a normal (glossy) clearcoat, what would the outcome be?

Glossy.

It would look more like normal paint than flat paint.

It would be as glossy as the gloss you put on.

You'd lack depth, though, as flat paint is completely opaque, whereas gloss is slightly translucent.

guess i always related to term "depth" to something that was really straight and glossy. but its an effect of being able to see through the paint?

and i want it glossy....i just cant find the paint i want in a gloss. so this was pretty much the answer i was looking for =)
