How do these go one?  There is currently nothing in the hole of my bars...do I need additional hardware?  Sorry new to my bike.

thanks,

I have these on my 76 750F. You need the bar end adapters as well. The adapters use a wedge system that expands into the handlebar as you tighten the screw.

A little more pricey but excellent build quality.

Yes the expensive ones are more solid than the cheaper ones.
They stay fairly clear too
I've used this style on various bikes over the years.
The round CRG ones have a good vintage look also.

Got a set of these. I don't trust the expansion bolt for mounting so I'm going to weld a bolt into the end of my bars. I was going to post pics once I get my new clip-on bars and get the bolt welded in.

The cheapest price I found was direct from Oberon. Expensive but they were exactly what I was looking for.

Napoleon Bar Ends (like the ones on Maxacceleration's bike) are available at Bike Bandit for less than $30.  For bar end mirrors, I like them better than the circular mirror.  I had the smaller circle mirrors, but they provide a poor field of view and suffer from vibration blur.  Look for the Napoleon's with rubber mounting inserts to dampen the vibration.

I couldn't find any cheap bar-end mirrors when I was looking.  So I found this $12 mirror at the local Harley Shop.  I like it - visibility is decent, doesn't hit anything (tank, hand or legs) and lowers the look of the bike.  It's not a good picture of it, but you get the idea.

Hey Gregory, You can do that with a stock mirror too, I have no pics to show, but Andy750 may just have a few.

I like the Napoleans as they will flip inwards for parking in tight spaces, then flip back out to original position, for riding. My FJR mirrors do this as well. In a crowded garage it makes a difference.

See the third testimonial in the link. He likes the feature of folding in for loading into his van.

Great picture.  If this were my picture, I'd be making at least a 20x30 reprint (possibly larger) for the wall of my cave (basement).

I've got the Napoleon mirrors on mine and they work well.  I find that the rubber mount allows the mirror to move slightly as I ride which requires occasional re-adjustment.  I need to go through a 36" gate to park the bike at home, so the ability to flip them out of the way is a plus.

I'd rather have had a pair of round mirrors like the Halcyons http://www.classicpartsltd.com/classicmotorcyclemirrors.htm.  Course at $60 each, they were a bit on the pricy side.

I've got a pair of these on my Buell and really like them, and will likely be putting them on my 750 when it gets put back together.

You shouldn't need any additional hardware to install them, just insert and tighten the screws with an allen wrench.  Just be careful not to over tighten the screws...they are kind of cheap screws and I broke the head off one over tightening when I first installed mine.

I just picked up the same kind of round mirrors but by Trackside. http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=5000&L2=11&L3=160&L4=&item=PRC_MBM12BLK . I'll test 'em out on my hour long commute to work tomorrow. I originally wanted Napoleons, but these were at Cycle Gear down the street and I really don't need to get pulled over for not having any mirrors so I just grabbed them. Only, I didn't pay $17 or even $30. I payed $60 for a pair of the Trackside ones. Hopefully they last. I'll let you guys know how they do tomorrow.

I got these Wednesday from Feebay.  $25 shipped.  Shipping was slow (from H Kong), but I am pleased given the price.  The glass is flat, and the plastic ball-socket bushing is not super quality, but I can see behind me, and I do not see them falling apart.  They are idetical to a set posted above in another online store (at 2x the $$).   Here's the ebay auction:
