Mystery Seat
« on: April 22, 2010, 09:39:37 AM »
Who can tell what this is?  I bought it under the assumption it was a from a 78 750k (i know i know, but i only saw 1 grainy pic from the top and the guy said it came off that bike numerous times), but it obviously is not.  I don't even think it is from a 750 at all.  Any help IDing it would be great so i know what i have to sell off.

Next to my other "78 758k" seat ( its a F)

Looks like something off a 400 or a twinstar.

Would it fit a 550?

How much do you want for it?

Apparently the mounting point and latch are in a different positional relationship in a 550.  They are straight across from one another, not slightly set back like this seat.  I too originally thought it was from a 550.  It also has a small tear on the top left by the center strap.  Not sure if you would still be interested, but 60 + shipping and its yours.

Think I'll pass.  But shoot me a PM if you're selling any more parts, I'm in the Boston.

Wow that 750 seat is huge!  I would look like I was straddling a horse if I sat on that thing.

did u try fitting it on the bike? it looks to be the same width and that hefty seat might be a extra cushy after market seat

Looks terribly silimar to the 77k seat I just took off. Dont have any pics but the cover looks the same, straps and chrome piping as well.
